I call myself the "Accidental Hermit" because several seemingly unrelated traits converged to place me in a hermit state: (1) I was born with Aspergers Syndrome, which lends itself to the solitary life, though I did not know until much later in life that there was a name for it (2) I became Catholic; (3) I am a lover of Contemplative prayer; and (4) I became physically disabled and home-bound.
